Massage
It’s more than pure indulgence. Touch has been shown to reduce blood pressure, combat fatigue, and relieve pain and stiffness. It not only feels good, it helps your immune system, giving your body the chance to heal itself.
Shiatsu
Shiatsu is a Japanese word meaning: “finger pressure”. A form of Asian body work its goal is similar to that of acupuncture or acupressure: to restore the balance of energy (chi) in the body. Practitioners of Chinese medicine and shiatsu assert that disease and physical infirmities are caused by imbalances in the flow of energy. A buildup, deficiency or blockage of energy can cause illness or discomfort in the body. Using the concepts of TCM, the shiatsu practitioner (giver) utilizes points along the body’s meridians. The giver gently leans onto the receiver’s body applying pressure to tsubos (points) with two hands; and stretches and moves the receiver’s body in order to encourage the energy to flow more evenly. Balanced chi promotes physical comfort, improved health, and stronger emotional health and stability. The emphasis is on communication and synergism between giver and receiver; on the self-development of the receiver, as well as the giver; and on the physical, psychological and spiritual harmony for both.
Herbal Medicine
Repair, restore and rebalance the body, and stimulate its own natural healing powers through medicinal herbs, supplements, nourishment and lifestyle changes. Feel better naturally. Heal the underlying cause of illness rather than simply addressing symptoms.
Reiki
Reiki is a holistic energy healing practice that supports you in feeling more connected to life. It can be compared to acupuncture without the needles. You remain fully clothed while the energy is moved by a light touch that creates a deep sense of relaxation. While releasing blocked energy and relieving the effects of stress, Reiki enhances the body's natural ability to heal itself through the balancing of energy.
